Amy Garcia is a well-known face on TV screens across Yorkshire, having presented the region’s most-watched news program, BBC Look North, for an impressive 10 years. With her straight-talking nature and ability to put people at ease, Amy has become a trusted and respected figure. Throughout the pandemic, she continued to deliver news to local audiences when they needed it most. 

Known for her adventurous spirit, Amy has never shied away from a challenge. From cycling the 250-mile Tour de France route across Yorkshire on a tandem for Sport Relief to dragging the Look North sofa 150 miles through snowstorms and torrential rain, she has demonstrated her dedication and determination. Amy’s commitment to charity has seen her abseil down a 120-foot building, be strapped to an aeroplane, and plunge into caves beneath the Yorkshire Dales, all for the noble cause of Children in Need.

The Awards ceremony will take place during the awards evening with winners and sponsors invited to stage to celebrate the winning business or persons. Three Course Meal

Starter: Somerset Brie and Beetroot Tart Begin your meal with a vegetarian delight. Our Somerset Brie and Beetroot Tart features creamy Brie cheese paired with earthy beetroot, all complemented by a tomato dressing and crisp roquette leaves. It’s a vibrant and harmonious blend of flavors and textures.

Main Course: Slow Roasted Lamb (or Vegetarian Alternative) Savor the succulence of slow-roasted lamb, served with dauphinois potatoes, sautéed Savoy cabbage, and a flavorful rosemary and garlic sauce. For vegetarians, we offer Creamed Mushrooms & Leeks in Filo Pastry, accompanied by fondant potato and tender stem broccoli. Both options are a delightful centre piece to the meal.

Dessert: Chocolate & Hazelnut Ganache Tart End your meal on a sweet note with our Chocolate & Hazelnut Ganache Tart, garnished with caramel popcorn and latte whipped cream. Indulge in the rich combination of chocolate and hazelnut, accented by delightful textures.
