It’s one of the hottest dates on the business calendar and Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber is calling on businesses across South Yorkshire to celebrate their success over the past twelve months by entering the 2019 Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards which have been officially unveiled this week.
Now in its tenth year, the business awards, in association with AAG IT Services, will see 14 different awards up for grabs including two brand new awards which recognise best use of technology, and workplace wellbeing.
One lucky winner will receive the highly coveted crown of Business of the Year, whilst the awards will also recognise the contribution of charities, as well as companies celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2019.
All businesses with an “S” postcode as well as members of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber are eligible to enter the awards and an application form can be downloaded from the business awards website: http://www.brawards.co.uk/
To give businesses the best possible chance of securing one of the highly coveted awards, the Chamber are hosting two masterclasses, which will take place on 5th July and 9th August and are completely free of charge to attend.
The ceremony will return to Magna Science & Adventure Centre on Friday, 18th October and will be hosted by local actor and star of Life on Mars and Emmerdale, Dean Andrews.
Lisa Pogson, President of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, said:
“We’re calling on businesses throughout South Yorkshire to shout about their success by getting involved with this year’s Business Awards and receive some well-earned recognition for efforts undertaken over the past twelve months”.
The closing date for award entries is Friday 30th August and the shortlist will be announced on Monday 16th September.
